Why would you blog about something you don't like or recommend?
Also - @ jrd - do you really think a "graphic novel afficiano" like Eddie *doesn't* already know about Preacher? What next - will you recommend Watchmen to him? ;-)
Cheers,
DC (not the comic - my intials - I'm a Marvel guy, myself) ;-)
Wow, I am coming to your blog (via comics blog The Beat) waaay too late. I can't believe that an awesome rock-and-roller such as yourself also has a passion for comics. I am just starting to discover Jeff Lemire's work so I'm thrilled to see he's doing the cover to your new album. It looks great.
As far as Freedom Formula goes... well let me start by saying I'm a comics retailer by trade. I met the Radical crew (publishers of Freedom Formula) at a Las Vegas retailer summit this year. I was blown away by their dedication to the business, the fact that they were very personable, and the art in their books. But... I have to admit the stories I've read from them leave a lot to be desired. I know that they're trying to snag some real high-profile writers (Warren Ellis comes to mind) and I hope they're successful in this because I really would like to see them succeed in the biz.
I will for sure keep up on this blog starting now. You rock man!

Again, you should check out the Preacher series from way back if you haven't already - it's like drinking in the movie theater.
